Actually, Apple Final Cut Pro has added the ability to import XAVC files. But it's limited to Final Cut Pro X 10.0.x via the Sony PDZK-LT2 plugin. For the older version of FCP users, there's no luck even with the plugin installed. Tried your way to convert XAVC to ProRes, I now can import the result video in FCP 7 flawlessly. Thanks your share, thanks video converter for Brorsoft.

That's a pity that I only have FCP 7. As long as I have FCP X, I can get the XAVC plugin. But the software mentioned in this article-Brorsoft Video Converter for Mac can help me edit 4K XAVC files without problem. Much helpful!

Though 4K XAVC is much outstanding, but it is not easy to be edited. FCP does not accept them at all. I googled a long time and found this blog which sloved my problem. Thnk you so much! You are the best!
