Want to put and play kinds of HD movies on Galaxy S5? In this article, I will teach you how to get MOV, MKV, AVI, XviD, DiVX,FLV, VOB, M2S playable on Galaxy S5.

The new Samsung Galaxy S5 with 5.1-inch, 1080 x 1920 pixel display no doubt adds more fun to your digital entertainment on the go. When you got the new Android v4.4.2 smartphone, what you will do next? Personally, I will add my personal video/movie collection to my Galaxy S5 to cancel my leisure time. But when you wanna transfer some personal video files like Xvid, DivX, FLV, MOV, MKV, etc to Galaxy S5, you would find the Galaxy S5 can’t play these videos well or even can’t recognize them. No worry. I’ve got some suggestions and short guides to help you get AVI, XviD, FLV, MOV, VOB, etc files playable on Galaxy S5 smoothly.

As XviD, DivX, FLV, MOV, VOB, MTS, MKV(DTS) are not default formats/codecs for Samsung Galaxy S5, what you can do is to find a third-party video player to installed and try to get a files played. But as far as I know, a 3rd party video player app can’t play all video files well. For example some DTS encoded MKV files are not supported well yet with MXplayer, DicePlayer. An alternative method is to convert these videos to Galaxy S5 playable format .i.e H.264 MP4.

Brorsoft Video Converter (Click here if you are a Mac user.) is the tool I’m using. Fast and smooth performance. It helps me batch convert 5+ MKV, AVI, MOV, VOB videos to Galaxy S5 readable MP4 video. It’s freely to adjust the video, audio parameters to get a decent output video that I want.

Convert AVI, XviD, FLV, M2TS, MOV, VOB, MKV to Galaxy S5

Step 1. Download and install the best Video Converter for Galaxy S5 and launch it to add the video files you want to convert.

Step 2. Click “Format” bar, you can get optimized videos for your Galaxy S5 under “Samsung > Samsung Galaxy S III Video (*.mp4)”. The output videos could fit on Galaxy S5 perfectly.

Step 3. Tap the “Settings” icon and you can adjust codec, bit rate, frame rate, sample rate and audio channel in the interface according to your needs and optimize the output file quality. In usual, 1280*720 video size, 1000~2000 video bitrate is proper for watching on mobile device.

Step 4. Hit the big Convert button, the XviD/DivX/MKV/VOB/MOV to Galaxy S5 conversion will be started immediately. Follow the conversion process by the pop-up windows.

If you have other media files like DVD, Blu-ray library, AVI, MTS, MPG, VOB, TiVo, etc HD videos for transferring to Samsung’s new Galaxy S5, you can try the package tool Brorsoft’s Blu-ray Video Converter Ultimate or the iMedia Converter Mac for Mac users.
