How to Import Video_TS files into iMovie

I have got some DVDs and every disc has a folder called VIDEO_TS. What I want to do is to import these Video_TS into iMovie. As I know, iMovie is not able to support Video_TS, a DVD file structure. As far as I know, what I need do in advance is to convert Video_TS to QuickTime for iMovie.

1. Load VIDEO_TS folder

2. Select output format

Click format bar to choose the format for output. For editing Video_TS files in iMovie on Mac, you can choose iMovie and Final Cut Express -> Apple InterMediate Codec (AIC)(*.mov), it's best for iMovie editing.

Tip: If you want to customize the profile, you can click settings to use the parameters you want.

3. Start conversion

When the settings are done, click the Convert button to start converting Video_TS to AIC .mov for iMovie. After the conversion, click Open to get the output videos. And then you can import the converted Video_TS files into iMovie for editing with ease.
