Importing TS File into Final Cut Pro 7/X

I have an HD video file recorded directly from broadcast television. I wanna edit the TS file in Final Cut Pro. As I know Final Cut Pro is not able to support the .ts format. So, how can I edit TS in Final Cut Pro keeping all the quality? Tried a third-party tool MPEG Streamclip, but the application either froze or told me that it couldn’t find the first frame of the .ts file. What I need is a converter app that fully supports TS video files.

I'm scanning the web and finally found Brorsoft Video Converter for Mac, a professional TS video converter under Mac OS X. With it, I can effortlessly transcode TS files to ProRes for smoothly editing in Final Cut Pro X or FCP 7 with the best quality. If you're editing TS movie with Final Cut Pro 6/7/X, iMovie, Avid Media Composer, Premiere Pro, Final Cut Express, chances are you already installed this great utility. If not, download it now and learn the step-by-step TS to ProRes conversion.

So, what does the workflow look like?

1. Install and launch the TS to FCP Converter, and then click "Add Video" button to import .ts files.

2. Click on the “Format” bar and get the dropdown menu, then move your pointer to choose “Final Cut Pro> Apple PreRes 422" or "Apple ProRes 422 HQ" or "Apple ProRes 4444" as the output format.
